TriAgile 2021

Six years ago, a twenty-thousand-person organization took on an agile transformation of massive proportions. With all the elements necessary to succeed, including a team of over 50 coaches and consultants, the organization achieved the expected benefits: throughput increased significantly, the organization flattened, agile squads were created, feedback was pervasive, and a culture of learning and engagement was “installed”, all within span of three years. As the transformation support team scoped down, a smaller team of 18 coaches was left facing questions like “what are the coaches doing?”, “how are they providing value?”. This was time for the coaches to “walk-the-talk” and expand their aperture beyond the evangelization of values, principles and delivery centric frameworks, and scout new lands to continue to support the organizational journey of transformation. From, converting scrum masters into coaches, implementing OKRs, catalyzing engineering excellence, to enabling the emergence of a product driven and user centered organization, this session will provide coaches, scrum masters and leaders alike with a view on how the mindset of the agile coaches turned them into stewards and strategists of the culture.
